This workshop is your gateway to mastering Source Code Security. We'll cover everything from conducting Source Code Reviews to enhancing speed and accuracy in the process. Dive into discussions about the steps involved, open-source tools that can aid you, and the challenges you might face with these tools - along with strategies to overcome them.

But it's not all talk; get ready for hands-on experience! We'll guide you through practical lab sessions where you'll exploit various security issues in web applications. Then, we'll dissect the source code to understand why these issues occur, fix them, and even attempt to bypass those fixes.

Beyond that, we'll explore essential concepts like SBOM, SCA, SAST, CI/CD Security to ensure your code remains secure throughout the development pipeline and production. Plus, we'll show you how to leverage your source code security skills for blackbox testing of web applications in bug bounty programs.

Prerequisites

  1. To make the most of this workshop, it is recommended to have some experience with using CLI tools and basic Linux commands. However, even if you are a beginner, you can still benefit from this workshop.
  2. All you need is a laptop with at least 8GB of memory and an internet connection. Before the workshop, please ensure you have Docker installed on your machine by following the installation instructions provided below:
