Abstract

  • Classical ciphers and their attack vectors
  • Modern ciphers (AES, RSA) and their attack vectors
  • Cryptographic Backdoors
  • SETUP Attack
  • Covert Channels
  • Detecting weakened cryptosystem
  • Countermeasures

The attendees are supposed to revise fundamentals of cryptography before coming to the session. Basic knowledge of C++ programming and LINUX is expected.

Required Tools

  1. Any recent LINUX distribution. I will use Fedora 21 Rawhide x64 for demonstration.
  2. GNU C++ compiler and GNU Debugger. I will use v4.9.2
  3. C++ IDE of your choice. I will use QT Creator (http://www.qt.io/download/)
  4. Crypto++ Library (www.cryptopp.com/).

Those who want to use Windows, may go for it. The session is not LINUX dependent. However, don't expect help from the speaker to handle Windows specific problems during the session.

Entire source code will be shared with attendees after the session is over.
